I led interaction design, algorithm development, and UX prototyping for the PagePress feature on the Amazon Kindle Voyage—a seamless button control with adjustable trigger force and haptic feedback that provides the familiar button press interaction without fragile cuts in the industrial design. The technology was based on my work at Touchco.

The proofs-of-concept I developed convinced the product team and senior leadership to incorporate this feature into the Kindle Voyage. (I even created a control panel to let Jeff Bezos personally tune the default haptics effect to his liking.) I then worked with the production team through the new technology introduction process to ensure a successful transfer of algorithms and interaction mechanics to the product.
