I joined Touchco as one of the first employees to develop algorithms and interactive prototypes for a new force-sensing touch sensor. I developed the core contact extraction and tracking algorithms, palm and pen detection logic, and sensor calibration methods that demonstrated the technology’s potential.

I also developed new input device concepts and drafted patent applications showing novel interaction techniques enabled by force sensing—work that helped position the technology for Amazon’s acquisition.

Amazon acquired Touchco, and our force-sensing technology was used for multiple internal product concepts, eventually leading to the PagePress feature in the Kindle Voyage.
